Player by Player
#1 — Kyla W.
Turned 8 walks into a .563 OBP — the table-setter when she got into the box. Drove in 3 runs, scored 2, and stole 4 bases. Plate discipline was a real weapon at the top of the lineup.
#2 — Pyper J.
Tied for team-lead in RBI at 6 on just 3 hits — every hit drove someone home. Perfect 1.000 fielding (3 chances, 3 outs) and 5 walks of her own. The team's most efficient run producer.
#3 — Kortlyn C.
The ace. Team-high 46 strikeouts in 20.0 innings — most by a wide margin — across 7 pitching appearances. Also hit .222 with 4 walks and 2 HBP for a .533 OBP, and fielded a perfect 1.000 from the circle (6 assists). Did it on both sides.
#4 — Amber E.
A workhorse. Made the second-most pitching appearances (7 outings, 10 IP, 23 K). Also one of the busiest fielders on the team — 18 chances, 14 putouts. Took 4 HBP on the way to a .476 OBP, scored 5, drove in 4. Whatever the team needed.
#5 — Victoria C.
Made the at-bats count: a walk and an HBP in 4 PA — a .500 OBP. Gave the dugout depth and a fresh bat when called on.
#6 — Waylyn H.
Three hits, 4 RBI, 6 runs scored, and 4 walks for a .421 OBP. Added an HBP and made 9 chances in the outfield. A reliable bat all season long.
#7 — Oakley M.
Ironwoman. 24 plate appearances — drew 12 walks (tied for team-most) and 5 RBI, with a perfect 1.000 fielding on 8 chances. Battled deep counts all year long.
#8 — Aisley F.
A hit, two walks, and dugout energy. Brought juice when she came in and made the most of her opportunities.
#9 — Delaney P.
9 walks in 16 plate appearances for a .563 OBP — one of the most patient hitters in the order. Scored 2 runs and gave the next hitters a runner to drive in.
#11 — Crisbel G.
Two HBP — wore them for the team. Battled through her at-bats and gave the defense innings in the outfield.
#16 — Tayla M.
An RBI, 2 walks, and an assist in the field for a perfect 1.000 FPCT. Steady role player.
#20 — Palmer H.
Behind the plate, Palmer caught every Bulldogs strikeout and got putout credit for each one — that's how she stacked 89 fielding chances, 89 putouts, 1.000 FPCT, more than any other Bulldog by a country mile. At the plate: team-leading 12 walks, 8 runs scored, and a .609 OBP (highest on the team among non-hidden players).
#21 — Phoenix B.
One of the season's biggest stories. Team-leading 10 runs scored, 13 stolen bases (perfect 13-for-14), and the only home run of the season. Best ERA on the pitching staff at 4.500 with 14 K in 6.2 IP. At the plate: .375 / .615 / 1.178 — one of three players over a 1.000 OPS. MVP-caliber summer.
#22 — Tyndle M.
Set the tone everywhere. Team-leading 9 hits, .429 AVG, .949 OPS (most among players with 10+ ABs), and tied for team-lead in RBI at 6. Pitched 6 innings and played the team's busiest infield — 11 chances, 8 assists (most on the team). The total package.
#23
The team's highest AVG (.455) and OPS (1.352) — both team highs by wide margins. 5 hits in 11 ABs, including the tournament's only Bulldog hit (a triple). 5 RBI, 4 walks, 6 stolen bases. Quietly the team's best pure hitter when she was in the box.
#24 — Maddie B.
Took an HBP and was ready whenever her number got called. Logged real defensive innings and showed up.
How they helped the team
Every name above is a thread in the story. The walks (74 of them — almost two free passes per inning on average) came from the patient at-bats Oakley, Palmer, Delaney, and Kyla put together. The runs scored came when Phoenix, Palmer, Waylyn, Amber, and Tyndle turned those baserunners into runs. The defense held together behind Palmer's mitt behind the plate, Tyndle and Kortlyn's gloves up the middle, and Waylyn and Amber backing them in the outfield. And the pitching — when Kortlyn, Amber, Phoenix, and Tyndle took the circle — kept the Bulldogs in games they had no business being in.
Two wins. A handful of close losses. A first-ever home run. A bracket appearance. A roster that grew up together over six weeks.
